Join Alexander McCall Smith for an afternoon of tea and a cream scone as he celebrates 20 years of the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency with Michelle Hodgson, Director of Huddersfield Literature Festival. Together they will discuss some of Alexander’s new books including the stand alone novel The Good Pilot Peter Woodhouse, his poetry anthology, A Gathering, and the latest in the No. 1 Ladies’ and Isabel Dalhousie series. They’ll also look back at how the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series grew from an initial print run of 1,000 copies to selling over 20 million copies worldwide.

This will be followed by a book signing.
